Gordy is a 1995 English-language Comedy Drama motion picture written by Jay Sommers, Dick Chevillat and Leslie Stevens. The movie is directed by Mark Lewis and produced by Sybil Robson Orr, Leslie Stevens and Frederic W. Brost under the banner of RAS Entertainment Ltd. in collaboration with Robson Entertainment. Gordy experiences the lives of others who are part of the film s side plots, including traveling country music singers Luke McAllister and his daughter Jinnie Sue and lonely boy Hanky Royce whose mother Jessica is engaged to a sinister businessman, Gilbert Sipes. Gordy stars Doug Stone, Tom Lester, Kristy Young, James Donadio, Deborah Hobart, Justin Garms and Sydney Stone. The screenplay is written by Leslie Stevens. The music was composed by Charles Fox. Cinematography was done by Richard Michalak and editing by Lindsay Frazer and Duane Hartzell. The film has a running time of 90 minutes. The motion picture made a box office gross of $3 million. Distribution rights for the movie were acquired by Miramax Family Films.
