In a fictional village in Gujarat, two feuding clans are brought together by the tragic love story of Ram and Leela, which ends in their deaths and the unification of the clans. Goliyon Ki Rasleela Ramleela is a 2013 Indian Hindi-language Drama Musical movie featuring Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh, Supriya Pathak, Sharad Kelkar, Homi Wadia, Abhimanyu Singh and Abhimanyyu Abhimanyu. The movie is based on Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare. Bhansali Productions in association with Eros International. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Kishore Lulla. Goliyon Ki Rasleela Ramleela is written by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Garima Wahal, William Shakespeare and Siddharth Singh and it is directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Eros International acquired the distribution rights for the movie. Goliyon Ki Rasleela Ramleela was released on 15th November 2013 and takes a screen time of 155 minutes. The movie made a box office gross of ₹220 crore. The screenplay for the movie was written by Siddharth-Garima and Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Cinematography was done by Ravi Varman and editing by Rajesh G. Pandey and Sanjay Leela Bhansali. The music was composed by National Award winner Sanjay Leela Bhansali along with Monty Sharma and Hemu Gadhavi. At the 2014 IIFA Awards It won an award for Best Production Design.
