Investigating a gold magnate s smuggling, James Bond uncovers a plot to contaminate the Fort Knox gold reserve. Goldfinger is a 1964 English-language Action Adventure movie featuring Sean Connery, Honor Blackman, Gert Fr Be, Gert Fröbe, Shirley Eaton, Tania Mallet and Stan Ross. The movie is inspired from Goldfinger by Ian Fleming. Eon Productions was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Harry Saltzman and Albert R. Broccoli. Goldfinger is written by Richard Maibaum, Paul Dehn, Johanna Harwood, Berkely Mather, Ian Fleming, Burt Styler, Albert E. Lewin and John L. Greene and it is directed by Guy Hamilton and Wes Kenney. United Artists acquired the distribution rights for the film. Goldfinger was released on 20th September 1964 and takes a screen time of 110 minutes. and it received positive reviews from critics when it was released and became successful at box office. Goldfinger was made on a budget of $3 million and it was a super hit at box office gross of $51 million. The screenplay for the movie was written by Richard Maibaum and Paul Dehn. Cinematography was done by Ted Moore and editing by Peter R. Hunt. The music was composed by John Barry. At the 1965 Oscar Awards It won an award for Best Effects, Sound Effects.
