After his brother is murdered and he is falsely accused, a boxer fights for justice against a wealthy businessman and his associates. Ghayal is a 1990 Indian Hindi-language Action Crime movie featuring Sunny Deol, Meenakshi Seshadri, Amrish Puri, Raj Babbar, Moushmi Chatterjee, Meenakshi Sheshadri and Jahangir. Vijayta Films was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Dharmendra. Ghayal is written by Nasir Adib, Lateef Binny, Vijay Deveshwar, Sutanu Gupta, Rajkumar Santoshi and Dilip Shukla and it is directed by Rajkumar Santoshi. Vijayta Films acquired the distribution rights for the movie. Ghayal was released on 22nd June 1990 and takes a screen time of 163 minutes. The Film was successful at box office. Ghayal was made on a budget of ₹1 crore and it was a super hit at box office gross of ₹17 crore. Cinematography was done by Rajan Kothari and editing by V. N. Mayekar. The music was composed by Bappi Lahiri. At the 1991 National Film Awards It won an award for Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment.
