Tina Films International was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Ravi Shankar, K. Ravi Shankar and A. Krishnamoorthi. Gharana is written by Laxmikant Shantaram Kudalkar, Pyarelal Ramprasad Sharma, Abrar Alvi and Gyandev Agnihotri and it is directed by Ravi Shankar and K. Ravi Shankar. Gharana was released on 31st December 1988. Cinematography was done by K. V. Ramanna and editing by Waman Bhonsle and Gurudutt Shirali. The music was composed by Laxmikant Shantaram Kudalkar along with Pyarelal Ramprasad Sharma and Laxmikant Pyarelal.
