A powerful crime boss named Akbar Ali Khan, along with his business partners Uncle Sam and Mani Menon, maintain peace in Mangalore until Uncle Sams grandson plans to import contaminated drug vaccines for profit, leading to Akbars failed assassination, but with the help of his uncle Hajikka and his loyal lieutenant Michael, Akbar seeks revenge and eliminates Uncle Sam and Mani, discovering that Anto is hiding in a Goan beach resort with Russian gangsters, ultimately overcoming them and killing Anto with a Machete. Gangster is a 2014 Indian Malayalam-language Action Crime film featuring Mammootty, Sekhar Menon, John Paul, Kunchan, T. G. Ravi, Nyla Usha and Subeesh Sudhi. OPM was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Aashiq Abu. Gangster is written by Abhilash Kumar, Ahmed Sidhique and Abhilash S. Kumar and it is directed by Aashiq Abu. Aan Mega Media acquired the distribution rights for the film. Gangster was released on 11th April 2014. Gangster was made on a budget of ₹1 crore and at the box office it grossed only ₹61 lakh. Cinematography was done by Alby and editing by Saiju Sreedharan. The music was composed by Deepak Dev.
