A high school senior forms a strong bond with a teenage drifter named Legs, and together with their friends, they confront a harassing teacher, engage in acts of rebellion, help a girl escape from her abusive father, face legal consequences, and ultimately separate paths while maintaining a strong bond. Foxfire is a 1996 American English-language Drama Romance film starring Hedy Burress, Angelina Jolie, Jenny Lewis, Jenny Shimizu, Cathy Moriarty, Sarah Rosenberg and Anomie Belle. The movie is based on Foxfire: Confessions of a Girl Gang by Joyce Carol Oates. Chestnut Hill Productions in association with Red Mullet Productions and Rysher Entertainment. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Jeffrey Lurie, John Bard Manulis and John P. Marsh. The movie is directed by Annette Haywood-carter. The Samuel Goldwyn Company acquired the distribution rights for the movie. Foxfire was released on 23rd August 1996 and takes a screen time of 102 minutes. The movie made a box office gross of $0 million. The screenplay for the movie was written by Elizabeth White. Cinematography was done by Newton Thomas Sigel and editing by Louise Innes. The music was composed by Michel Colombier.
