A wrestler named Mark Schultz is recruited by a wealthy wrestling enthusiast, John du Pont, to join his team and train at his facility, leading to Marks success but also causing him to struggle with self-esteem issues, drug use, and du Ponts controlling behavior, ultimately resulting in du Pont murdering Marks older brother Dave before being arrested, while Mark goes on to compete in a cage fighting match. Foxcatcher is written by E. Max Frye and Dan Futterman and it is directed by Bennett Miller. Sony Pictures Classics acquired the distribution rights for the film. Foxcatcher was released on 30th January 2015 and takes a screen time of 134 minutes. Foxcatcher was made on a budget of $24 million and at the box office it grossed only $19 million.
