The movie is based on For Your Eyes Only by Ian Fleming. Eon Productions was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Albert R. Broccoli. For Your Eyes Only is written by Richard Maibaum, Michael G. Wilson and Ian Fleming and it is directed by John Glen. United Artists acquired the distribution rights for the film.
