A city teenager moves to a small town where rock music and dancing have been banned, and his rebellious spirit shakes up the populace. Footloose is a 1984 American English-language Drama Musical movie featuring Kevin Bacon, Lori Singer, Dianne Wiest, John Lithgow, Chris Penn, Sarah Jessica Parker and Kevin Denson. Phoenix Pictures in association with IndieProd Company Productions and Silver Screen Partners. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Lewis J. Rachmil and Craig Zadan. Footloose is written by Dean Pitchford and directed by Herbert Ross. Paramount Pictures acquired the distribution rights for the film. Footloose was released on 17th February 1984 and takes a screen time of 110 minutes. The Film was successful at box office. Footloose was made on a budget of $8 million and it was a super hit at box office gross of $63 million. Cinematography was done by Ric Waite and editing by Paul Hirsch. The music was composed by Tom Snow along with Jim Steinman, Kenny Loggins and Dean Pitchford.
