Firaaq was made on a budget of ₹6 crore and at the box office it grossed only ₹1 crore. Cinematography was done by Ravi K. Chandran and editing by A. Sreekar Prasad At the 2010 Filmfare Awards It won 3 awards including: Best Costume Design, Best Sound Design and Best Editing.
