A screenwriting student deals with plagiarism in the film industry while creating a new horror movie, but a masked murderer appears on set to make their fictional slasher film a reality. Final Cut is a 2019 American English-language Drama Horror movie starring Peter Bogdanovich, Frank Marshall, Filip Jan Rymsza, Bob Murawski, Dante Aubain, Syrissa Sacca and Lea Difonzo. Final Cut was Produced by Frank Marshall and Filip Jan Rymsza. The movie is directed by Ryan Suffern. Netflix acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture. Final Cut was released on 30th November 2019 and takes a screen time of 38 minutes. The motion picture made a box office gross of $2 million. Cinematography was done by Michael Parry and Ryan Suffern and editing by Martin Singer. The music was composed by Paul Pilot.

Throughout his career, Hazanavicius has gleefully tweaked cinematic institutions, whether its spy thrillers (OSS 117), silent film (The Artist) or Jean Luc Godard (Redoubtable), so his attraction to One Cut Of The Dead isnt surprising, given it doesnt just spoof zombie horror but also pays tribute to all the unforeseen disasters that need to be fixed during a film production. It isnt an underdog production by any stretch, so its self referential tale of underdog guerilla filmmaking cant help but ring at least slightly hollow, despite its clear love for the form. ( Read More )
