A curious fairy shrinks a human and discovers that humans are destroying the rainforest, leading to her sacrifice to defeat a dark spirit and the growth of a new tree. FernGully: The Last Rainforest is a 1992 English-language Animation Adventure movie starring Samantha Mathis, Tim Curry, Christian Slater, Jonathan Ward, Robin Williams, Grace Zabriskie and Douglas Seale. The movie is inspired from FernGully by Diana Young. Kroyer Films in association with Inc., Youngheart Productions, FAI Films and 20th Century Fox Animation. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Peter Faiman and Wayne Young. FernGully: The Last Rainforest is written by Jim Cox and Diana Young and it is directed by Bill Kroyer. 20th Century Fox acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture. FernGully: The Last Rainforest was released on 10th April 1992 and takes a screen time of 76 minutes. The Film was successful at box office. FernGully: The Last Rainforest was made on a budget of $24 million and it was a hit at box office gross of $32 million. The screenplay for the movie was written by Jim Cox. Editing was done by Gillian Hutshing. The music was composed by Alan Silvestri.
