A man seeks revenge on his landlord after his home is burned down in 1892 Ireland, but ends up injured and cared for by the landlords wife and daughter who plan to flee to America for free land, only to face numerous challenges and setbacks along the way before finally claiming their own land together. Far and Away is a 1992 American English-language Adventure Drama film featuring Tom Cruise, Nicole Kidman, Thomas Gibson, Robert Prosky, Cyril Cusack, Barbara Babcock and Kris Murphy. Imagine Entertainment was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Ron Howard, Brian Grazer and Bob Dolman. Far and Away is written by Bob Dolman and Ron Howard and it is directed by Ron Howard. Universal Pictures acquired the distribution rights for the film. Far and Away was released on 22nd May 1992 and takes a screen time of 140 minutes. Far and Away was made on a budget of $60 million and at the box office it grossed only $1 million. The screenplay for the movie was written by Bob Dolman. Cinematography was done by Mikael Salomon and editing by Daniel P. Hanley and Mike Hill. The music was composed by John Williams.
