Fandry depicts the struggles of a young boy belonging to an oppressed caste in a village where he faces discrimination and falls in love with a girl from a higher caste, ultimately realizing the impossibility of assimilating with other castes. Fandry is a 2014 Indian Marathi-language Drama Family film starring Kishor Kadam, Somnath Awghade, Suraj Pawar, Chhaya Kadam, Nagraj Manjule, Rajeshwari Kharat and Ramchandra Dhumal. Fandry was Produced by Nilesh Navalakha, Navalakha Arts and Holy Basil Productions. Fandry is written by Nagraj Popatrao Manjule and directed by Nagraj Popatrao Manjule and Nagraj Manjule. Reliance Media Works acquired the distribution rights for the movie. Fandry was released on 14th February 2014 and takes a screen time of 104 minutes. The Film was successful at box office. Fandry was made on a budget of ₹1 crore and it was a super hit at box office gross of ₹7 crore. Cinematography was done by Vikram Amladi and editing by Chandan Arora. The music was composed by Ajay-atul along with Alokananda Dasgupta. At the 2014 National Film Awards It won an award for Best Debut Film of a Director. At the 2014 National Film Awards It also won an award for Best Child Artist.
