A devoted fan impersonates his idol to win a talent show, but their relationship turns sour when the idol disowns him, leading to a series of revenge acts that damage the idols reputation until a dramatic confrontation occurs. Fan is a 2016 Indian Hindi-language Action Adventure motion picture starring Shah Rukh Khan, Sayani Gupta, Jack Gover, Puja Panchkoty, Waluscha D souza, Zachary Coffin and Babli Pandey. Yash Raj Films was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Aditya Chopra. Fan is written by Maneesh Sharma, Habib Faisal and Sharat Katariya and it is directed by Maneesh Sharma. Yash Raj Films acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture. Fan was released on 15th April 2016 and takes a screen time of 138 minutes. Fan was made on a budget of ₹120 crore and at the box office it grossed only ₹90 crore. The screenplay for the movie was written by Habib Faisal. Cinematography was done by Manu Anand and editing by Namrata Rao. The music was composed by IIFA Award winner Shekhar Ravjiani along with Vishal Dadlani, Vishal Shekhar and Andrea Guerra. At the 2017 Filmfare Awards It won 2 awards including: Best Special Effects and Best Makeup.
