After their daughter is raped and murdered, Karen becomes obsessed with seeking justice and plots to kill the murderer, putting a strain on her marriage and relationship with her surviving daughter, Megan, until she ultimately succeeds with the help of her support group and is hailed as a hero by the community, standing united with her husband, Mack.
