A programmer named Caleb Smith wins a visit to the isolated home of Nathan Bateman, where he discovers that Nathan has created a humanoid robot named Ava with artificial intelligence, and as Caleb spends time with Ava, they develop a bond and Ava expresses a desire to experience the outside world, while Caleb becomes uncomfortable with Nathans behavior and plans to help Ava escape by reprogramming the security system, but Nathan reveals he has been monitoring their conversations and claims Avas feelings for Caleb were a manipulation, leading to a climactic escape attempt where Ava and another android kill Nathan, Ava repairs herself and escapes, leaving Caleb behind. Ex Machina is a 2014 English-language Documentary Drama movie starring Domhnall Gleeson, Alicia Vikander, Oscar Isaac, Geoff Barrow, Mark Digby, Alex Garland and Ian Dury. Ex Machina was Produced by Allon Reich and Andrew Macdonald. The motion picture is written and directed by Alex Garland. A24 acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture. Ex Machina was released on 21st January 2015 and takes a screen time of 108 minutes. and it received positive reviews from critics when it was released and became successful at box office.
