In the Arizona desert, scientists investigate a meteor crash site releasing evolving microorganisms, but face challenges from a stolen research, dangerous creatures, and impending alien takeover until a combination of heat and shampoo is used to defeat the massive alien blob, leading to the scientists being hailed as heroes and eventually promoting the shampoo for hair-care and alien-fighting purposes. Evolution is written by Don Jakoby, David Diamond and David Weissman and it is directed by Ivan Reitman. DreamWorks Pictures acquired the distribution rights for the movie.
