In 2047, a distress signal from the long-lost Event Horizon starship prompts a rescue mission that uncovers a horrific massacre, hallucinations, and the revelation that the ship has become sentient after its gravity drive opened a gateway to a hellish dimension, leading to a desperate attempt by the crew to destroy it, resulting in many casualties, until only three survivors manage to escape using a portion of the ship as a lifeboat before the ship is eventually pulled into a black hole, but upon rescue, one survivor realizes it was all just a nightmare. Event Horizon is a 1997 English-language Horror Sci-Fi movie starring Laurence Fishburne, Sam Neill, Kathleen Quinlan, Joely Richardson, Richard T. Jones, Jack Noseworthy and Gary Sinyor. Event Horizon was Produced by Lawrence Gordon, Lloyd Levin and Jeremy Bolt. Event Horizon is written by Philip Eisner and directed by Paul W.s. Anderson, Paul Anderson and Paul W. S. Anderson. Paramount Pictures acquired the distribution rights for the film. Event Horizon was released on 30th October 1997 and takes a screen time of 96 minutes. Event Horizon was made on a budget of $60 million and at the box office it grossed only $26 million. Cinematography was done by Adrian Biddle and editing by Martin Hunter. The music was composed by Michael Kamen.
