Ernest Goes to School

Ernest, a janitor at Chickasaw Falls High School, faces closure as he lacks a high school diploma required by the new merger rule and decides to redo school, becoming intelligent but snobbish after being experimented on, impresses everyone but loses his intelligence after bullies destroy the brain accelerator, and with the help of his friends, declines to use a repaired accelerator during the final exam, eventually replacing the football team to win the game, keeping the school open, getting the coach and inspector fired, and earning his diploma.
