In 1976, a hijacking of an Air France flight by the Revolutionary Cells and the subsequent rescue mission led by Israeli Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin and Defense Minister Shimon Peres takes place, resulting in the successful evacuation of 102 hostages, with Rabin highlighting the significance of diplomacy for peace. Entebbe is a 2019 English-language Drama Action film starring Rosamund Pike, Daniel Br Hl, Eddie Marsan, Ben Schnetzer, Lior Ashkenazi, Denis M Nochet and Daniel Brühl. Participant Media in association with Working Title Films. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Ron Halpern, Tim Bevan, Liza Chasin, Eric Fellner, Kate Solomon and Michelle Wright. Entebbe is written by Gregory Burke and directed by Jos Padilha. Focus Features acquired the distribution rights for the film. Entebbe was released on 23rd May 2019 and takes a screen time of 107 minutes. The movie made a box office gross of $9 million. Cinematography was done by Lula Carvalho and editing by Daniel Rezende. The music was composed by Rodrigo Amarante.
