Enkeyo Ketta Kural

The story is about Kumaran, who loves his cousin Ponni but she rejects him, instead reluctantly marrying him and having a daughter, but eventually leaving him for another man, leading to Kumaran marrying Ponnis sister Kamatchi and forming a close bond with her, while Ponni realizes her mistake and returns, remaining loyal to Kumaran but unable to see her daughter due to her sisters interference, and on her deathbed, Kumaran defies his father-in-law to perform Ponnis last rites with their daughter and Kamatchi. Enkeyo Ketta Kural is a 1982 Indian Tamil-language Drama Family movie starring Rajinikanth, Ambika Ravikanth, Delhi Ganesh, Kamala Kamesh, Kannan, Meena Durairaj and T.k.s. Nadarajan. P. A. Art Productions was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Meena Panju Arunachalam. Enkeyo Ketta Kural is written by Panchu Arunachalam and directed by S.p. Muthuraman and S. P. Muthuraman. P. A. Art Productions acquired the distribution rights for the movie. Enkeyo Ketta Kural was released on 14th August 1982. Cinematography was done by Babu and editing by R. Vittal. The music was composed by National Award winner Ilaiyaraaja. At the 1983 South Filmfare Awards It won an award for Best Film.
