A geneticist creates a super-intelligent Doberman Pinscher and later an unborn human named Victoria who becomes addicted to a drug and resorts to murder to obtain an unborn child that will provide her with the hormones she needs to survive, resulting in tragic consequences. Embryo is a 1976 American English-language Horror Sci-Fi film featuring Rock Hudson, Barbara Carrera, Diane Ladd, Roddy Mcdowall, Anne Schedeen, John Elerick and Bob Reynolds. Plura Service Company in association with Sandy Howard Productions. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Anita Doohan and Arnold H. Orgolini. Embryo is written by Anita Doohan and Jack W. Thomas and it is directed by Ralph Nelson. Cine Artists Pictures acquired the distribution rights for the film. Embryo was released on 21st May 1976 and takes a screen time of 104 minutes. Embryo was made on a budget of $1 million. Cinematography was done by Fred J. Koenekamp and editing by John A. Martinelli. The music was composed by Gil Melle.
