Elvis Presley visits the White House to discuss his concerns about the drug culture, hippie movement, SDS, and the Black Panther Party with President Richard Nixon, who initially sees it as a publicity stunt but later finds common ground with Presley as they bond over their shared backgrounds and take a memorable photograph together. Elvis & Nixon is a 2016 American English-language Comedy History film featuring Michael Shannon, Kevin Spacey, Alex Pettyfer, Johnny Knoxville, Colin Hanks, Evan Peters and Joe Hollier. Autumn Productions in association with Inc., Elevated Films, Holly Wiersma Productions, Johnny Mac & David Hansen Productions and Benaroya Pictures. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Holly Wiersma, Cassian Elwes and Cary Elwes. Elvis & Nixon is written by Cary Elwes, Hanala Sagal and Joey Sagal and it is directed by Liza Johnson. Amazon Studios acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture. Elvis & Nixon was released on 21st April 2016 and takes a screen time of 86 minutes. Elvis & Nixon was made on a budget of $4 million and at the box office it grossed only $1 million. Cinematography was done by Terry Stacey and editing by Michael Taylor and Sabine Hoffman. The music was composed by Ed Shearmur.
