A human who grew up thinking he was an elf travels to New York City to find his father, helps save his failing publishing company, reunites with his father and helps Santa fix his sleigh, writes a book, gets married, and has a daughter. Elf is a 2003 American English-language Comedy Family motion picture featuring Will Ferrell, James Caan, Zooey Deschanel, Mary Steenburgen, Edward Asner, Bob Newhart and Jay Finocchiaro. New Line Cinema in association with Guy Walks Into a Bar Productions. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Jon Berg, Todd Komarnicki and Shauna Robertson. Elf is written by David Berenbaum and directed by Jon Favreau. New Line Cinema acquired the distribution rights for the film. Elf was released on 5th December 2003 and takes a screen time of 97 minutes. The Film was successful at box office. Elf was made on a budget of $33 million and it was a super hit at box office gross of $227 million. Cinematography was done by Greg Gardiner and editing by Dan Lebental. The music was composed by John Debney.
