Elegy

The film is about an aging professor who must choose between a long-term relationship and a student, ultimately realizing his true love for the student too late, but rekindling their relationship when she requires his support during her battle with cancer. Elegy is a 2008 American English-language Drama Romance motion picture starring Pen Lope Cruz, Ben Kingsley, Peter Sarsgaard, Patricia Clarkson, Dennis Hopper, Penélope Cruz and Ryan Mcdonell. The movie is inspired from The Dying Animal by Philip Roth. Lakeshore Entertainment was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Tom Rosenberg, Gary Lucchesi and Andre Lamal. The movie is directed by Isabel Coixet. Samuel Goldwyn Films acquired the distribution rights for the film. Elegy was released on 1st January 2009 and takes a screen time of 112 minutes. Elegy was made on a budget of $13 million and it was a hit at box office gross of $14 million. The screenplay for the movie was written by Nicholas Meyer. Cinematography was done by Jean-Claude Larrieu and editing by Amy Duddleston. The music was composed by Cliff Eidelman.
