A man named Nani dies tragically and is reincarnated as a housefly seeking revenge on his killer, Sudeep, while also inspiring his love interest to complete a micro art piece before his untimely death. Eega is a 2012 Indian Telugu-language Action Adventure motion picture featuring Sudeepa, Kiccha Sudeep, Nani Ghanta, Samantha Ruth Prabhu, Hamsa Nandini, Crazy Mohan and Sathviksriram. Vaaraahi Chalana Chitram was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Daggubati Suresh Babu and Sai Korrapati. Eega is written by S.s. Kanchi, Janardhan Maharshi, Crazy Mohan, Vijayendra Prasad, S.s. Rajamouli and Ashwin Gangaraju and it is directed by S.s. Rajamouli, J.v.v. Sathyanarayana and S. S. Rajamouli. 14 Reels Entertainment acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture. Eega was released on 6th July 2012 and takes a screen time of 134 minutes. Eega was made on a budget of ₹26040 crore and at the box office it grossed only ₹125 crore. The screenplay for the movie was written by S. S. Rajamouli. Cinematography was done by K. K. Senthil Kumar and editing by Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao. The music was composed by M. M. Keeravani. At the 2013 South Filmfare Awards It won 4 awards including: Best Actress (Samantha Ruth Prabhu), Best Supporting Actor (Kiccha Sudeep), Best Film and Best Director. At the 2013 South Filmfare Awards It also won an award for Best Special Effects. At the 2013 National Film Awards It also won 2 awards including: Best Special Effects and Best Feature Film in Telugu.
