Action Crime Drama Thriller

A midwife in a London hospital discovers a diary on the body of a young girl, leading her to a Russian mafia member who raped the girl and fathered her baby, while she also becomes entangled in the mafias power struggles and fights for custody of the baby. Eastern Promises is a 2007 English-language Action Crime film featuring Viggo Mortensen, Naomi Watts, Vincent Cassel, Armin Mueller-stahl, Josef Altin, Mina E. Mina and Arnold Montey. Eastern Promises was Produced by Paul Webster and Robert Lantos. Eastern Promises is written by Steven Knight and directed by David Cronenberg. Path Distribution acquired the distribution rights for the movie. Eastern Promises was released on 3rd January 2008 and takes a screen time of 101 minutes. and it received positive reviews from critics when it was released. Eastern Promises was made on a budget of $50 million and it was a hit at box office gross of $56 million. The screenplay for the movie was written by Steven Knight. Cinematography was done by Peter Suschitzky and editing by Ronald Sanders. The music was composed by Academy Award Oscar winner Howard Shore.
