Duplicate

An aspiring chef named Bablu meets Sonia Kapoor, a hotel catering manager, and they end up working together, falling in love; however, their love is tested when Bablu is mistaken for a gangster and forced to switch places, leading to a series of events involving mistaken identity, attempts at flirting, teaching morals, and a final rescue mission, culminating in a happy ending with Bablu and Sonia getting married. Duplicate is a 1998 Indian Hindi-language Action Comedy motion picture featuring Shah Rukh Khan, Juhi Chawla, Sonali Bendre, Kajol Devgn, Farida Jalal, Mohnish Bahl and Vishwajeet Pradhan. Dharma Productions was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Bharat S Shah and Yash Johar. Duplicate is written by Robin Bhatt, Akarsh Khurana, Javed Siddiqui, Akash Khurana and Javed Siddiqi and it is directed by Mahesh Bhatt. Eros International acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture. Duplicate was released on 8th May 1998 and takes a screen time of 166 minutes. Duplicate was made on a budget of ₹9 crore and it was a hit at box office gross of ₹10 crore. Cinematography was done by Sameer Arya and editing by Waman Bhonsle. The music was composed by National Award winner Anu Malik along with Louis Banks.
