Judge Dredd and rookie Cassandra Anderson must fight their way through a drug den in a tower block to defeat the criminal mastermind Ma-Ma and ultimately lead to Andersons success in passing evaluation. Dredd is a 2012 English-language Action Crime movie starring Karl Urban, Olivia Thirlby, Wood Harris, Lena Headey, Rachel Wood, Andile Mngadi and Julie Summers. The movie is based on Judge Dredd by John Wagner Carlos Ezquerra. DNA Films in association with IM Global and Reliance Entertainment. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Alex Garland, Allon Reich and Andrew Macdonald. Dredd is written by John Wagner, Carlos Ezquerra and Alex Garland and it is directed by Pete Travis. Entertainment Film Distributors acquired the distribution rights for the film. Dredd was released on 20th September 2012 and takes a screen time of 95 minutes. Dredd was made on a budget of $50 million and at the box office it grossed only $41 million. The screenplay for the movie was written by Alex Garland. Cinematography was done by Anthony Dod Mantle and editing by Mark Eckersley. The music was composed by Paul Leonard-morgan.
