An Indian doctor in Canada becomes a taxi driver and begins practicing medicine illegally after delivering a baby in his cab, eventually achieving his dream with the help of the woman whose baby he delivered. Dr. Cabbie is a 2014 English-language Comedy movie starring Vinay Virmani, Kunal Nayyar, Adrianne Palicki, Lillete Dubey, Mircea Monroe, Chris Diamantopoulos and Heidi Matijevic. Salman Khan Films in association with Entertainment One, StudioCanal, Caramel Film and Firsttake Entertainment. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Salman Khan, Pauline Dhillon, Ajay Virmani and Andr Rouleau. Dr. Cabbie is written by Vinay Virmani, Ron Kennell and Manu Chopra and it is directed by Jean-françois Pouliot and Jean-fran Ois Pouliot. Eros International acquired the distribution rights for the movie. Dr. Cabbie was released on 19th September 2014 and takes a screen time of 98 minutes. The film made a box office gross of $0 million. Editing was done by Dominique Fortin. The music was composed by Yann Simhon along with Igor Vrabac and Ken Worth.

      An excellent film, albeit a less broad one, could be made of this material and charming films have been made of the Canadian immigrant experience from fun Bollywood Vancouver romance Neal N Nikki to the assimilation narrative wrapped at the heart of the sports drama of Breakaway, but Dr. Cabbie does too little with some interesting ideas.
