A rich but troubled family find their lives altered by the arrival of a vagrant who tries to drown himself in their swimming pool. Down and Out in Beverly Hills is a 1986 American English-language Comedy film featuring Nick Nolte, Bette Midler, Richard Dreyfuss, Little Richard, Tracy Nelson, Elizabeth Peña and Sam Sako. Touchstone Films in association with Silver Screen Partners II. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Paul Mazursky, Pato Guzman and Geoffrey Taylor. Down and Out in Beverly Hills is written by René Fauchois, Paul Mazursky and Leon Capetanos and it is directed by Paul Mazursky. Buena Vista Distribution acquired the distribution rights for the movie. Down and Out in Beverly Hills was released on 31st January 1986 and takes a screen time of 103 minutes. The Film was successful at box office. Down and Out in Beverly Hills was made on a budget of $14 million and it was a super hit at box office gross of $62 million. Cinematography was done by Donald McAlpine and editing by Richard Halsey. The music was composed by Andy Summers.
