The movie is inspired from Doubt: A Parable by John Patrick Shanley. Miramax Films in association with Scott Rudin Productions. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Scott Rudin. The movie is written and directed by John Patrick Shanley. Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures acquired the distribution rights for the film.
