Maanav is an orphan who was brought up by a Catholic Priest, Father Francis. After completing his M.A.. Dost is a 1974 Indian Hindi-language Drama Family motion picture starring Dharmendra, Hema Malini, Shatrughan Sinha, Ravindra Kapoor, Kanhaiyalal Chaturvedi, Anwar Hussain and Jagdish Raj. Dost was Produced by Premji and J. N. Manchanda. Dost is written by Shafiq Ansari and Sachin Bhowmick and it is directed by Dulal Guha. Dost was released on 12th April 1974 and takes a screen time of 166 mins. Cinematography was done by M. Rajaram and editing by Bimal Roy. The music was composed by Pyarelal Ramprasad Sharma along with Laxmikant Shantaram Kudalkar, Laxmikant-pyarelal and Anand Bakshi.
