Dor is a movie about two women with different backgrounds who forge an unlikely friendship as they work together to save one of their husbands from execution in Saudi Arabia. Dor is a 2006 Indian Hindi-language Drama movie featuring Ayesha Takia, Gul Panag, Shreyas Talpade, Girish Karnad, Uttara Baokar, Prateeksha Lonkar and Vishal Malhotra. The movie is inspired from Perumazhakkalam. Dor was Produced by Elahe Hiptoola. Dor is written by Nagesh Kukunoor and Mir Ali Hussain and it is directed by Nagesh Kukunoor. Sahara One Motion Pictures acquired the distribution rights for the movie. Dor was released on 22nd September 2006 and takes a screen time of 123 minutes. Dor was made on a budget of ₹3 crore and at the box office it grossed only ₹2 crore. The screenplay for the movie was written by Nagesh Kukunoor. Cinematography was done by Sudeep Chatterjee and editing by Sanjib Datta. The music was composed by Filmfare Award winner Salim Merchant along with Sulaiman Merchant and Salim Sulaiman.
