Ajay, (Mahesh Babu) an undercover cop, is assigned to catch a dangerous mafia don with whom he has a personal score to settle. Dookudu is a 2011 Indian Telugu-language Action Comedy film featuring Mahesh Babu, Samantha Ruth Prabhu, Brahmanandam, Prakash Raj, Sonu Sood, Kota Srinivasa Rao and Junaid Sheikh. 14 Reels Entertainment was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Ram Achanta, Gopichand Achanta and Anil Sunkara. Dookudu is written by Sreenu Vaitla, Gopimohan, Vintha Upendra Reddy Upendra Madhav, Kona Venkat and Srinu Vaitla and it is directed by Sreenu Vaitla and Srinu Vaitla. Dookudu was released on 30th September 2011 and takes a screen time of 175 minutes. The Film was successful at box office. Dookudu was made on a budget of ₹35 crore and it was a super hit at box office gross of ₹114 crore. Cinematography was done by K. V. Guhan and Prasad Murella and editing by M. R. Varma. The music was composed by Ravi Kumar Bhaskarabhatla along with S. Thaman.
