A troubled teenager named Donnie Darko is guided by a mysterious voice and encounters a rabbit-costumed figure named Frank, who predicts the end of the world in 28 days, leading Donnie to explore time travel and ultimately sacrifice himself to reset time. Donnie Darko is a 2001 American English-language Drama Mystery movie starring Jake Gyllenhaal, Jena Malone, Maggie Gyllenhaal, James Duval, Drew Barrymore, Mary Mcdonnell and Jack Truman. Flower Films was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Sean Mckittrick, Nancy Juvonen and Adam Fields. The film is written and directed by Richard Kelly. Pandora Cinema acquired the distribution rights for the movie. Donnie Darko was released on 19th January 2001 and takes a screen time of 113 minutes. Donnie Darko was made on a budget of $6 million and it was a hit at box office gross of $7 million. Cinematography was done by Steven Poster and editing by Sam Bauer and Eric Strand. The music was composed by Michael Andrews.
