Don

A simple man, Vijay, is recruited by a police officer to masquerade as Don, the leader of an international gang of smugglers. But things go wrong when the officer is killed and Vijay is left to fend for himself. Don is a 2006 Indian Hindi-language Action Crime motion picture starring Shah Rukh Khan, Priyanka Chopra, Arjun Rampal, Boman Irani, Isha Koppikar, Om Puri and Yusof B. Mohd Kassim. The movie is based on Don by Salim-Javed. Excel Entertainment was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani. Don is written by Salim Khan, Javed Akhtar and Farhan Akhtar and it is directed by Farhan Akhtar. Eros International acquired the distribution rights for the movie. Don was released on 20th October 2006 and takes a screen time of 169 minutes. The Film was successful at box office. Don was made on a budget of ₹38 crore and it was a super hit at box office gross of ₹106 crore. The screenplay for the movie was written by Javed Akhtar and Farhan Akhtar. Cinematography was done by K. U. Mohanan and editing by Anand Subaya and Neil Sadwelkar. The music was composed by Shankar Mahadevan along with Ehsaan Noorani, Loy Mendonsa and Shankar-ehsaan-loy.
