The film follows Frances as she reflects on her past love for Johnny, her experience at Kellermans resort in 1963, the changes in her life over the years, and her eventual reunion with Johnny through a frame story in 1975. Dirty Dancing: Television Special is a 2017 American English-language Drama Musical film starring Nicole Scherzinger, Abigail Breslin, Colt Prattes, Debra Messing, Bruce Greenwood, Sarah Hyland and Seth Trey Loven. The movie is based on Dirty Dancing by Eleanor Bergstein. Allison Shearmur Productions in association with Lionsgate Television. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Stephen Meinen, Judy Cairo, Bill Hill and Adam Anders. Dirty Dancing: Television Special is written by Jessica Sharzer and directed by Wayne Blair. Lionsgate Television acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture. Dirty Dancing: Television Special was released on 24th May 2017 and takes a screen time of 130 minutes. Cinematography was done by John Lindley. The music was composed by Mark Isham.
