The movie is based on Can You Say .. Hero? by Tom Junod. TriStar Pictures in association with Tencent Pictures, Big Beach and Mr. Youree Productions. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Youree Henley, Peter Saraf, Marc Turtletaub and Leah Holzer. The movie is directed by Marielle Heller. Sony Pictures Releasing acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture. Dhuntaaraa was released on 11th January 2015 and takes a screen time of 109 minutes. The screenplay for the movie was written by Micah Fitzerman-Blue and Noah Harpster. Cinematography was done by Jody Lee Lipes and editing by Anne McCabe. The music was composed by Nate Heller.
