Dhruva, a trainee IPS officer, uncovers a hidden crime network that involves wealthy and influential people, and manipulative medical technology, led by a scientist named Siddharth Abhimanyu, who turns out to be the son of a man named Chengalarayudu, ultimately bringing him to justice. Dhruva is a 2016 Indian Telugu-language Action Thriller movie featuring Ram Charan, Arvind Swamy, Rakul Preet Singh, Navdeep, Ram Charan Teja, Arvind Swami and Chatrapathi Sekhar. The movie is based on Thani Oruvan. Geetha Arts was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Allu Aravind and N. V. Prasad. Dhruva is written by Mohan Rajan, Shivgopal Krishna, Surender Reddy, Allu Aravind and V.y. Praveenkumar and it is directed by Surender Reddy. Geetha Arts acquired the distribution rights for the movie. Dhruva was released on 8th December 2016 and takes a screen time of 165 minutes. The Film was successful at box office. Dhruva was made on a budget of ₹50 crore and it was a hit at box office gross of ₹96 crore. The screenplay for the movie was written by Surender Reddy, Deepak Raj and Madhusudhan.
