In Mumbai, a gang of hi-tech motorbike-riding robbers led by Kabir outsmarts the police, prompting Assistant Commissioner Jai Dixit to seek the help of local bike dealer Ali Akbar Fateh Khan, but their initial plan fails, leading Dixit to seemingly turn against Ali until it is revealed that Ali has been working undercover for Dixit all along, leading to a final showdown with Kabir in Goa where Kabir ultimately chooses to take his own life. Dhoom is a 2004 Indian Hindi-language Action Crime film featuring Abhishek Bachchan, Uday Chopra, John Abraham, Esha Deol, Rimi Sen, Manoj Joshi and Bhupindder Bhoopii. Dhoom was Produced by Aditya Chopra and Yash Chopra. Dhoom is written by Vijay Krishna Acharya and directed by Sanjay Gadhvi. Yash Raj Films acquired the distribution rights for the film. Dhoom was released on 27th August 2004 and takes a screen time of 129 minutes. The Film was successful at box office. Dhoom was made on a budget of ₹11 crore and it was a super hit at box office gross of ₹31 crore. The screenplay for the movie was written by Vijay Krishna Acharya. Cinematography was done by Nirav Shah and editing by Rameshwar S. Bhagat. The music was composed by Pritam Chakraborty along with Salim-sulaiman. At the 2005 IIFA Awards It won an award for Best Action. At the 2005 IIFA Awards It also won 3 awards including: Best Performance by an Actor in a Negative Role (John Abraham), Best Performance in a Negative Role and Best Playback Singer - Female.
