Shashi Sumeet Productions was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Sudhakar Bokade. Dhanwaan is written by Robin Bhatt, Sujit Sen, Javed Siddiqui, K. Viswanath and K. Vishwanath and it is directed by K. Viswanath and K. Vishwanath. Divya Films International acquired the distribution rights for the movie. Dhanwaan was released on 10th December 1993. Dhanwaan was made on a budget of ₹1 crore and at the box office it grossed only ₹1 crore. Cinematography was done by Shyam Rao and editing by Prasanth-Vinod. The music was composed by Anand-milind.
