Devata

A village orphan named Tony endures tragedy and injustice throughout his life as he faces the loss of his wife, false accusations, and a life in prison, only to later resurface as Tarun Kumar Gupta and face a changed world in his quest for redemption. Devata is a 1978 Indian Hindi-language Drama Family film featuring Sanjeev Kumar, Shabana Azmi, Rakesh Roshan, Danny Denzongpa, Rajni Bala, Rita Bhaduri and Benjamin Gilani. Devata was Produced by N.n. Sippy. Devata is written by Gulzar Kalra, Vietnam Veetu Sundaram and Story: Vietnam Veedu Sundaram and it is directed by G. Ramanathan and S. Ramanathan. Prithiva Pictures acquired the distribution rights for the movie. Devata was released on 3rd November 1978. Cinematography was done by Nando Bhattacharya and editing by Waman Bhonsle and Guru Dutt Shirali. The music was composed by Rahul Dev Burman along with R. D. Burman.
