Dev is a Bollywood film about the friendship between a duty-bound police officer and a politically-minded commissioner, set against the backdrop of terrorism and corruption in modern-day India. Dev is a 2004 Indian Hindi-language Drama movie featuring Amitabh Bachchan, Fardeen Khan, Kareena Kapoor, Om Puri, Amrish Puri, Rati Agnihotri and Suresh Bhagwat. Udbhav Productions in association with Applause Entertainment and Entertainment One India Ltd. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Govind Nihalani. Dev is written by G.p. Deshpande, Muqtida Hasan Nida Fazli, Govind Nihalani, Meenakshi Sharma and Nida Fazli and it is directed by Govind Nihalani. Udbhav Dreamzone acquired the distribution rights for the film. Dev was released on 11th June 2004 and takes a screen time of 176 mins. Dev was made on a budget of ₹8 crore and at the box office it grossed only ₹6 crore. Cinematography was done by Govind Nihalani and editing by Deepa Bhatia. The music was composed by Aadesh Shrivastav.
