After the loss of his wife in a car accident, a successful investment banker named Davis finds solace in venting his frustrations through complaint letters to a vending machine company, ultimately leading to a deep friendship with Karen, a customer service representative who helps him confront his emotional detachment and find closure. Demolition is a 2016 American English-language Drama Comedy motion picture featuring Jake Gyllenhaal, Naomi Watts, Chris Cooper, Judah Lewis, David Morse, Joe Anderson and Michael R. Bollentin. Black Label Media in association with Sidney Kimmel Entertainment, Mr. Mudd and TSG Entertainment. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Lianne Halfon, Russell Smith, Sidney Kimmel, Thad Luckinbill, Russ Smith, Molly Smith, Trent Luckinbill, Jean-marc Vall E and John Malkovich. Demolition is written by Bryan Sipe and directed by Jean-marc Vallée and Jean-marc Vall E. Fox Searchlight Pictures acquired the distribution rights for the movie. As for Watts, its refreshing that Moreno doesnt serve the love interest role, but the character gets the short shrift anywaythough at least her purpose isnt entirely to exist in service of Davis arc, like Julia. ( Read More )
