An illusionist challenges the claims of mystics and psychics, while a con artist and her daughter attempt to win his prize money by performing a fake seance, until a twist of fate brings them together. Death Defying Acts is a 2007 English-language Drama Romance film featuring Guy Pearce, Catherine Zeta-jones, Timothy Spall, Saoirse Ronan, Malcolm Shields, Leni Harper and Howard Pearse. BBC Films in association with Film Finance Corporation Australia, FTO, UK Film Council and Myriad Pictures. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Chris Curling and Marian Macgowan. Death Defying Acts is written by Tony Grisoni and Brian Ward and it is directed by Gillian Armstrong. Lionsgate acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture. Death Defying Acts was released on 8th May 2008 and takes a screen time of 97 minutes. The motion picture made a box office gross of $8 million. Cinematography was done by Haris Zambarloukos and editing by Nicholas Beauman. The music was composed by Cezary Skubiszewski.
