After their 4-year old son was kidnapped from a super-crowded city, a divorced couple, joined by many parents who are in the same desperate situation, started to work together to find him. Fortunately they have the son back after 3 years, but the trouble does not end here. Written by Hongmei Yu Dearest is a 2014 Mandarin-language Drama movie starring Zhao Wei, Huang Bo, Tong Dawei, Hao Lei, Zhang Yi, Zhang Yuqi and Rui Yan. We Pictures Limited in association with China Vision Media Group, Stellar Mega Films, Stellar Mega Pictures, Enlight Pictures, Real Thing Media, HB Studio and PULIN Production Limited. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Peter Chan and Hui Yuet-chun. Dearest is written by Zhang Ji and directed by Peter Chan. We Entertainment acquired the distribution rights for the film. Dearest was released on 20th November 2014 and takes a screen time of 130 minutes. The film made a box office gross of $54 million. The music was composed by Leon Ko.
