Dead Like Me: Life After Death is written by Bryan Fuller, John Masius, Stephen Godchaux, Dan E. Fesman, Harry Victor and J.j. Philbin and it is directed by Stephen Herek. Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer acquired the distribution rights for the movie. Dead Like Me: Life After Death was released on 17th February 2009 and takes a screen time of 87 minutes.       Its worth noting that the absence of Mandy Patinkins Rube Sofer is ultimately not as problematic as one mightve expected, as the characters disappearance effectively allows Godchaux and Masius to take the picture in an entirely different direction from its serialized predecessor (ie the movie rarely feels like just an extended episode of the show).
